Corrary is nestled between mountains in the beautiful and remote Glen Beag, about 5km from the village of Glenelg, in the northwest Highlands.

Glenbeag is famous for its historic Brochs, ‘Dun Troddan’ and ‘Dun Telve’, both of which are located on the property.

The land surrounding the farm extends to around 445 hectares, including areas of ancient native woodland, open moorland and commercial forestry plantation.

Corrary Farm

Working towards the restoration of this unique landscape

Large areas of fragile peatland habitat protected from further degradation and brought into recovery.

Gradual restructuring of commercial forestry plantation to native woodland, with a long-term commitment to increase species diversity and protect remaining ancient woodland fragments.

Over 75,000 native trees planted on the hillsides around the farm since 2015.

16km of fencing erected to protect upland habitats from deer and sheep browsing, encouraging the natural regeneration of woodlands.

We are an official partner of Rewilding Europe’s Affric Highlands programme.

People

Since before the Brochs appeared 2000 years ago, people have lived and worked in the landscape of Glen Beag. A key part of the Corrary vision is to continue to bring people to the area, create meaningful jobs in sustainable industries and foster community and culture.

We run several different business from the farm, including an organic microbrewery, forestry operations including sawmill, tree nursery, and holiday accommodation.
